Experiences

With construction having commenced, the 2nd Jack Nicklaus Signature Course will provide a new challenge for all golfers. Whilst situated on land that is very similar to the North Course, it will have a different look and feel to ensure variety between the two courses.

The bunkering will provide for smaller more strategic areas of sand, and there will be less use of water around the holes.

This Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course has been challenging players of all abilities and handicaps from around the world since 2007. Set against the backdrop of the Serra do Caldeirão Mountains to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the south, the 7182 yard, par 72 course blends perfectly with the surrounding landscape.

Wide fairways weave through mature trees and valleys, creating a unique test on every hole, alongside spectacular views.

The second course at Monte Rei, The South, will also be a Jack Nicklaus Signature course. The design has been completed by the Nicklaus team, following Mr Nicklaus’ site visit.
